This milestone marks Dongfang Electric Group’s successful completion of the \"last mile\" in achieving full domestic production of natural gas pipeline compression units, making it the first energy equipment manufacturer in China to possess the capability to develop such units entirely domestically. The appraisal meeting was organized by the China National Machinery Industry Federation, and the expert panel consisted of well-known industry experts and scholars from institutions such as the Chinese Academy of Engineering, Tsinghua University, Xi’an Jiaotong University, **Pipeline Network Group, and China National Petroleum Corporation. The expert group listened to an overview of the project, witnessed on-site factory tests of the products, and reviewed the overall development progress. The expert group believes that the performance indicators of the factory tests have reached an advanced level comparable to those of similar international products, and it can be applied and promoted in long-distance natural gas pipelines. This unit will be used at the Shangluo station, in the middle section of the West-East Gas Pipeline Project III, to carry out industrial-scale tests.
