This technological breakthrough fills the gap in ultra-high-pressure ionic liquid boosting technology in China, providing strong support for the development of Lanxi Group’s hydrogen energy industry chain. As an important part of Lansi Group’s hydrogen energy strategy, the 90MPa ionic liquid hydrogen compressor is a key device in hydrogen refueling stations, and it plays a significant role in reducing costs and improving efficiency across the hydrogen energy industry chain. Leveraging the company’s extensive expertise in high-pressure equipment technology, and in collaboration with a team from China University of Petroleum (East China), the project team overcame numerous technical challenges. They managed to increase the pressure level applicable to ionic liquid compression from 45 MPa to 90 MPa, thereby addressing the issue of China’s long-term reliance on imports in this field. Driven by the \"dual carbon\" strategy, hydrogen energy has not only become a key focus in the global energy transition but also an important means to advance the revolution in energy production and consumption in China, to build a clean, low-carbon, safe, and efficient energy system, and to achieve the goals of carbon peak and carbon neutrality.
