On September 9, 2025, the first low-temperature ethylene BOG compressor developed by Shenyang Blower Group Reciprocating Machinery Co., Ltd. successfully passed ultra-low temperature load testing on site; all performance indicators of the compressor met or exceeded the design requirements. This marks a significant technical breakthrough for Shenyang Blower Group in the field of high-end low-temperature equipment, filling a gap in this area for the company. The BOG compressor in this project is used in an ethane cracking unit abroad, where the inlet temperature of the unit drops as low as -102°C. To ensure the smooth operation of the unit at the site in the future, the project team conducted low-temperature load tests on it. After 7 months of thorough preparation, during which the testing process was tested multiple times, the team finalized the ultimate testing plan. During the 9-hour testing period, the unit was tested under various inlet temperatures in the range of -190°C to -70°C, and it demonstrated excellent operational adaptability ； Finally, stability tests were conducted on the unit at an inlet air temperature of -102°C; the unit operated smoothly and completed the entire low-temperature testing process successfully, meeting the project requirements.
