Impact: ① Temperature fluctuations within the cold box exceeding 5°C, resulting in unstable operation of the demethanization tower ; ②Fluctuations in the reflux ratio of the propylene distillation column result in product purity falling outside the specified limits ; ③Compressor energy consumption increases by 8%-12%. Stabilization scheme: ① Use variable frequency to adjust the compressor load (adjust the speed dynamically based on cooling capacity requirements; for every 1% change in speed, the outlet pressure changes by 0.05 MPa) ; ②Stabilize the propylene temperature at the compressor inlet (keep it at -40°C ± 2°C to prevent changes in the amount of gas drawn in due to temperature fluctuations) ; ③Inspect the outlet valve; if there is internal leakage, replace it. Example: After the frequency conversion upgrade of an ethylene plant, the pressure fluctuation at the compressor outlet was reduced to ±0.08 MPa.
