What does it look like, and what is it used for? Does anyone know?:)
Yeah, what’s the use? What does it look like? I keep hearing that there are problems with the flame detector again, but I’ve never seen them
Flame detection, as the name implies, is used to detect flames. There are two types of flame detection: ultraviolet flame detection and ion rod flame detection. Burners in ordinary furnaces usually use automatic ignition, and the function of the flame detector is to allow the control system to determine whether the burner has ignited successfully. Additionally, when the burner goes out due to a fault, the system can detect this fault and shut off the gas supply to prevent safety accidents. An ultraviolet flame detector primarily works by detecting the ultraviolet light in the flame, and then converting it into an electrical signal that is sent to the control system. The attachment is a UV flame detector. Ion rod flame detection generates an induced current by inserting an ion rod into the flame, which is then fed back to the control system; generally speaking, ultraviolet flame detection is more stable
Flame detection, also known as flame detectors, comes in two types: ultraviolet phototubes and ion probes. A phototube is, in essence, a photosensitive resistor, commonly used to detect fuel flames. Ion probes are generally used to detect gas flames. Ion probes are generally not used to detect fuel flames, as when the probe is inserted into the flame, tiny fuel particles from the process of fuel atomization and combustion adhere to it. The residual combustion products that remain stick to the ion probe, reducing its sensitivity.
Ultraviolet phototubes are not photosensitive resistors; photosensitive resistors are the cheapest flame detection elements, but their drawback is that they are sensitive to visible light and infrared radiation, which can lead to false detections. Ultraviolet phototubes are only sensitive to the short-wavelength ultraviolet rays generated by flames, and they are not sensitive to visible light, infrared light, or the long-wavelength ultraviolet rays in sunlight. It has high reliability, but the price is also much higher.
A flame detection device is primarily used to detect flame signals; if no flame is detected, it shuts off the gas valve and stops the burner, thereby ensuring the safe operation of the boiler.
