Hello everyone: How is the MAWP of the entire equipment determined? The MAWP of the shell is calculated using an internal pressure formula, a simple formula. How is the MAWP of pipe flanges determined? How is the MAWP of non-standard flanges determined? How is the MAWP of the pipe outlet determined? Is the tower checked for axial stresses such as seismic wind, and is the verification carried out based on the MAWP?
The MAWP (Maximum Allowable Working Pressure) of the entire equipment is determined as the minimum value among the allowable pressures calculated for each pressure-bearing component (vessel shell, head, flanges, openings for reinforcement, etc.) at the design temperature, based on their actual effective thicknesses.

Is opening reinforcement an iterative process of verification to ultimately obtain an MAWP? Is the MAWP for pipe flanges also determined through such iteration, or is it established based on the maximum allowable working pressure (after adjustment)?
