There is a compressed air storage tank with a capacity of 10 m3 and a pressure of 0.8 MPa in the facility; it has been in use for over 20 years. The nameplate and factory documentation have been lost, but regular inspections have been carried out as scheduled. The inspection deadline has passed this year, but the inspection agency refuses to conduct further inspections and issue a report. I would like to know **what provisions specifically specify the service life of gas storage tanks. If not, how many years of useful life do manufacturers usually design for?

The annual inspection of a gas storage tank depends mainly on its age of use: for tanks that are 5 years or less old, it is sufficient to perform annual inspections on the safety valve and pressure gauge. For tanks that are older than 5 years, the entire tank must be tested by subjecting it to hydraulic pressure. Gas storage tanks produced before 2008 generally had a service life of 5 years, while the current typical service life for such tanks is 7 years
