The portion beyond the range of pipe reinforcement must have its outer diameter altered to match that of the flange’s connection pipe through a conical section, to facilitate welding. The design of the conical section can draw on that of the WN-type flange, or it can be designed independently according to the relevant requirements of GB150 if necessary.
There was an HGJ527-90 standard for \"reinforcement pipes\" available for reference a long time ago, but now it is sufficient to carry out calculations for opening reinforcement according to GB/T150; using a 45-degree angle in the transition section can reduce the amount of work required. Make sure to leave enough length of straight edge when using SO flanges.
