Calculation of compressed air storage tank capacity

How should one select and calculate the size for compressed air buffer tanks and gas storage tanks? Are there any relevant manuals?
This isn’t actually specified in detail in the relevant standard manuals. If calculation is necessary, I think it’s necessary to determine the amount of air required to operate all the pneumatic valves in the subsequent systems connected to the buffer tank/gas storage tank once. But based on my own experience, it’s possible to calculate the air consumption for a single device; however, when it comes to supplying air to an entire area or factory complex, this amount has to be estimated roughly, so ultimately this issue still relies on experience to determine. If you are designing a compressed air station, it’s better to refer to previous projects; if there are no such references available, consult the compressor supplier.
