Our company intends to purchase stainless steel strip spliced weld heads, as the manufacturing license of the head manufacturer has expired, and there are no qualified welders or personnel for non-destructive testing available. What should I do if I return to my own company and there’s no welder’s stamp for non-destructive testing? I’m not sure how other companies handle this.
Haha, for end caps purchased in their entirety with seams, we require inspection certificates, so this kind of problem won’t arise. If the seam is welded and undergoes non-destructive testing by their own personnel, this problem wouldn’t arise either.

Some time ago, we also encountered many head manufacturers claiming that their qualifications had been revoked and that they would no longer issue inspection certificates; we insisted on having such inspections, and in the end they did provide the inspection certificates. In fact, even for end caps without welds, due to some special requirements such as heat treatment for restoring properties or solution treatment of stainless steel, it’s better to have supervision over these processes; otherwise, the domestic market is in a very poor state.
If the company’s qualifications have expired, do the welder’s qualifications also expire? The two are not consistent. If the welder’s license is valid, then yes. Otherwise, refuse to buy it.
This head manufacturing factory must be a small one, with an incomplete staff that was put together temporarily. Large head manufacturing plants certainly will not have such problems.
