Horizontal container saddle

This post was last edited by WANGJIABAO on 2017-7-13 at 15:25. The gasket plate of the horizontal vessel saddle belongs to the pressure vessel itself, whereas the stiffening plate and the bottom plate do not belong to the pressure vessel itself. Is that correct?
Looking at the definition of the scope of containers in GB150, the saddle falls within the scope of the container body.
Please take a look at a passage from the “Training Manual for Pressure Vessel Design Engineers”:

The old GB150 does not include saddles, and ASME8-1 also does not include saddles.
