I would like to ask where the ignition oil gun in a circulating fluidized bed boiler is installed. Could you please provide some pictures for my reference? Thank you! I recently saw the boiler being started on site; just as they were about to add coal, a large hole appeared at the point where the primary air enters the boiler. They said that the temperature of one of the ignition oil nozzles was too high, reaching 1000°C. The cause is not yet clear. Could someone help analyze this? I also want to ask whether the ignition oil nozzles enter the boiler through the same pipeline as the primary air But the air enters the boiler’s air chamber, and the combustion in the boiler takes place above the material layer. The primary air blows upward from beneath the air distribution plate, emerging from the air cap. We don’t have a oil gun; we use charcoal to start the fire. But the oil gun is supposed to be used to heat the bed material; once the temperature of the bed material is appropriate, coal can be added
The ignition oil gun for circulating fluidized bed boilers is installed in the boiler ignition pre-combustion chamber located in front of the boiler’s isobaric air chamber. It uses the hot flue gases generated during the combustion process by the igniter to heat the boiler’s bed material; once the desired temperature is reached (usually 650°C), coal is added to initiate the ignition of the boiler.
Circulating fluidized bed boiler process: ① During normal operation: primary fan---quick air damper---furnace air chamber---air distribution plate---air cap---bottom material. ②When igniting the boiler using an oil gun: primary fan – ignition air damper – oil burner – furnace air chamber – air distribution plate – air cap – refractory lining. If a large hole is formed by the oil gun, it might be caused by damage to the burner, or by the removal of the refractory lining; we have experienced cases where the burner became deformed as a result
