As shown in the figure, the diameter of each of the connections efgh is 25; yet why are the nominal diameters specified as 25 and 40 respectively in the connection table?
The takeover sheet is prepared by the equipment team, in accordance with the design parameters. Takeover is something handled by the piping specialists; as long as the flow rate and pressure requirements are met, that’s fine! If it’s not a hazardous material, there’s an interface below; I’ll install a valve, and I won’t even let you connect the pipes. :lol
There seems to be a mistake in one of the locations; it’s just a guess
Take a look at the data sheet provided by the process engineering department; follow the specifications of that department
I would like to ask the experts: in the table provided by the original poster, what does RF mean as regards the type of joint surface? Are there any other forms besides RF? What are they respectively? Thank you!
It is of the RF (raised face) flange sealing surface type; other commonly used types are M (convex face), FM (concave face), and FF (fully flat face)
As a side question, the hot fluid inlet at ports b and c is DN500, but the outlet size is reduced to DN400; whereas the cooling water inlet at ports a and d is DN350, with the outlet size increasing to DN400. What’s the reason for this? Could it be that the temperature changes are too drastic? Or it is caused by a phase transition
