How to be a good equipment engineer?

I’m not very skilled; I majored in Chemical Engineering and Technology in university. Due to changes in my workplace, I’ve been assigned to work with equipment. My knowledge of mechanics is quite limited, so I would be extremely grateful if you could recommend some relevant books and share any experience you have in working with equipment. Thank you very much!
Just do the work that the company assigns to you
I also majored in process engineering, and since graduating I have been working in chemical equipment design. Actually, these two fields are related; as long as one studies and works hard, they can definitely do better than those who graduated from chemical machinery-related programs. Keep it up!
I also switched from a different field to chemical engineering. Although there is more work involved in equipment installation, my understanding of materials and mechanical equipment is still inferior to that of those with a background in process engineering. Even though I often study, read books, and look up information, I still feel there is a gap compared to the technical personnel from manufacturers who have a specialized background
Read more books, look at the questions, and ask why more often
Learn from seniors more*, work on one or two projects, and you’ll be basically up to speed
