Are there any specific requirements regarding the length of the heat exchanger bolts?

For the connection bolts of heat exchangers, is it sufficient if they reach the top of the nut, or must they extend beyond it by a certain amount? Are there any regulatory requirements for this? If so, what is the regulation number? Please share your valuable opinions.
There are no specific requirements for this, but I once read in a manual that for mechanical applications, it’s generally advisable to leave a margin of 0.3d, and then round off the value according to the actual circumstances. There’s no need to be too serious about it ； Some people also prefer to leave a thickness of one nut, it’s just a matter of getting used to it.
I personally* leave an extra length of thread; actually, it’s not necessary to leave it that long. All the manufacturing plants in our area follow this* practice – they always leave an extra length of thread when calculating the bolt length, and I just follow that approach as well.
The thickness of the cap is generally determined by its nominal diameter, while the length of the protrusion from the cap is usually taken as 10 mm.
Generally, the thickness of the tube sheet and flange is plus three times the length of the studs. There’s definitely no problem now
Generally, it extends 2 to 3 pitches. We usually leave a 5mm overhang during design.
