What does the drop operation mean?

In the tank conditions table provided by the manufacturer, there are several dome tanks for heavy crude oil, with a note stating “deck lowering operation, equipped with heaters”. What does this “falling disk” mean? Only floating roof tanks have a floating roof; dome tanks don’t have a floating roof, so how can there be a “falling roof”?
Just ask the manufacturer what it means, right?
