Where can I find the coefficient A1 in the design of the nozzle elbow?
Where does your formula come from, and what do the symbols represent?
In the calculation of the thickness of the elbow in the nozzle design, C is the additional thickness, A1 is the coefficient, C2 is the corrosion allowance, and A1 is followed by the nominal thickness of the elbow.
You should tell which standard specification or formula in the reference material you are using, so that everyone can give you an answer. Generally, the parameters in the formula are explained. It is estimated that you are using the calculation formula in HG/T20582-2011. The A1 coefficient is selected according to different bending radii. For details, see HG/T20582-2011P241.
Refer to GB 50251-2015 Gas Pipeline Engineering Design Code. Other standards should be similar. But the formula of GB 50251-2015 actually calculates bent pipes (bent pipes have straight pipe sections at both ends) ; For standard elbows (there are no straight pipes on both sides of the elbow), the pressure-bearing capacity shall not be lower than that of straight pipes of the same specification, same material, and same wall thickness (see Chapter 4 of GB/T12459-2017). If the material is the same, the nominal wall thickness of the elbow can be consistent with the nominal wall thickness of the straight pipe section.
