External ultrasonic level gauge, installation of the probe for external ultrasonic level gauges, use of such probes in tank areas. The external ultrasonic level gauge operates on the principle of sonar ranging, enabling accurate measurement of the level of various hazardous substances such as flammable, explosive, and toxic materials, as well as strong acids, strong bases, and various pure liquids, within high-temperature and high-pressure sealed containers. Special probes attached to the outside of the container wall are used to transmit and receive sonar signals. The calculated liquid level value is displayed locally and a remote signal is output. The instrument can transmit the measurement results to the control center via analog signals of (4–20) mA, as well as interfaces such as HART and RS-485; it can also be adjusted online through interfaces like HART, RS-485, and infrared.
