I would like to ask about oval heads. In the drawings for sheet metal drafting included in the book, the oval heads mentioned are actually circular; so does such a drafting exist for oval heads in the shape of duck eggs? ? Please advise
It’s this oval shape; the oval shapes seen in books and on the market actually have circular ends. Are there any oval-shaped ends like this? ? 》? ? ?
In other words, if I were to create an oval-shaped storage tank of this type, its head must also be oval in shape. I checked the **standards**, but none of them mention this shape; I would appreciate anyone’s advice – it would be great if there were templates available

Standard elliptical head, with the ellipse rotated around its minor axis. The duck egg end cap you want rotates around its long axis in an elliptical shape. Those that use this structure are probably for normal pressure; just use a flat lid instead
In fact, the water tank of a road sprinkler truck is similar to this in design, with an oval cross-section for the tank body. However, the two end sections of the water tank’s cover are not both oval-shaped; one section is oval while the other is butterfly-shaped
The lofting for an oval head is simply a circle; what kind of head is that? This type of end cap is not specified in the standards. What’s the use of that?
