At the request of our seniors, the previous version didn’t include any images; so I’ve edited it again this time: As shown in Figure 5, once the water supply volume reaches 20+, the pressure drops rapidly. Moreover, none of the three units comes close to achieving a rated flow rate of 46 cubic meters. Currently, a water consumption of 30 cubic meters requires two pumps to maintain stable pressure. What is the reason for this? PS: 1. The water level in the deaerator is 70%, and the temperature is 90 degrees. 2. There are two series-connected gate valves in the pipeline that carries water from the economizer back to the deaerator; there is no significant water leakage. 3. It is not yet known whether there are filter valves between the deaerator and the inlet pipeline; the inlet gate valves are fully open
Check whether there are any issues with the pipeline valves; if not, the problem lies with the pump’s own ring and impeller
Mm! The senior is right; the imported first-stage impeller is blocked halfway. Many small stickers are stuck on it; it is preliminarily estimated that the packing layer of the deaerator is damaged, and no filtering device is installed in that area, so they fell into the pump
Isn’t there a filter at the pump inlet? Install a filter
Well, it wasn’t installed before; now a temporary simple one has been made, which will be replaced during the major maintenance
