In accordance with the requirements of GB150, negative-pressure equipment is tested based on the vacuum pressure level. When classifying it into categories I, II, and III, if gauge pressure is used, vacuum equipment is not considered to fall under the category of pressure vessels as per the catalog of special equipment. However, if the testing requirement is to use vacuum degree as P*V, then large vacuum towers can be classified as belonging to categories I, II, or III. Therefore, when dealing with large vacuum equipment, what standards and specifications should we use for classification?
As long as the operating pressure of the equipment (note: not the design pressure) is less than 0.1 MPa, it falls outside the scope of the \"Safety Technical Inspection Regulations for Fixed Pressure Vessels\" (TSG 21-2016), and therefore it is not classified.
