Requirements for forged flanges: Charpy impact test at -20 degrees. Should sampling be taken from the flange body itself? If it’s at the ontology level, how to take samples? How to handle missing areas after sampling.
Sampling is not done on the entity itself. This issue should be raised during the procurement process; the product comes with test blocks, and the samples are prepared from these test blocks. Test blocks are required to be made from the product blanks. :)
It is also possible to ask the forging factory to carry out low-temperature impact testing
If it is a retest, the forging manufacturer must provide the test specimens.

According to the dimensional tolerance requirements, sampling and re-inspection are required for the forging body of Grade IV; it is necessary to take into account the need to have samples from the forging body for re-inspection at the time of procurement. Grade II and Grade III samples are generally taken from the same batch along with retest samples, and they are not necessarily taken from the actual forging itself.
