May I ask: should the end plate mirror be welded as shown in the lower left image (JB593-64), or installed in a manner similar to a flanged fitting as shown in the lower right image, with welding on both the inside and outside surfaces? Which method is better? Or should the choice be based on the diameter, and does the installation orientation – vertically upward or horizontally aligned with the axis – have any impact?
For devices with a small diameter, they are welded to the cylinder and require nozzles； For devices with a large diameter, the cylindrical surface tends infinitely toward a flat surface, allowing for direct welding ； The end cap has little impact. As for the outside or both inside and outside, in my opinion: when the pressure is low and the medium is not special, it’s difficult to carry out welding on the inside and outside of the equipment; in cases of mass production, it’s better to have external connections. It’s still safer to weld it from both the inside and outside. This is somewhat similar to reinforcing the opening after it has been taken over.
