What determines whether an external coil heat exchange or an internal coil jacket is used in a kettle or other equipment? Are there any recommended materials or books? Which type should be chosen for heat exchange in reactors at atmospheric pressure? Thank you

How is large diameter defined? Is 1.5m considered a large diameter? If it is necessary to maintain a certain shape while simultaneously applying heat and using cooling water for cooling, which option should be chosen? I’m looking for relevant information. Thank you
