Regarding the layout of the storage tank bottom plate, Section 4.3, second half of point 4 on page 10 of GB50128-2014 stipulates that the minimum direct connection dimension for the irregular mid-width plates connected to the circular edge plate of the tank bottom shall not be less than 700 mm. In on-site operations, it is necessary to ensure that the transverse dimension (i.e., the length direction) of the mid-web is 700 mm (this is clearly specified in the legends of the 2014 version), but the specifications do not provide any illustration for the longitudinal right-angled side. It is difficult to ensure this right-angled side dimension in actual layout (but a minimum weld spacing of 300 mm can be guaranteed). Currently, when encountering specification constraints on site, it is required that the dimensions of the right-angle sides be greater than 700 mm. How can this issue be resolved?
