Hello everyone. Under what circumstances are impact tests required for pressure vessels in national standards, or what are the conditions for conducting such tests? Is it related to operating temperature, operating medium, heat insulation, etc., or is only MDMT taken into consideration? Thank you~~

Yes, it’s this table that confuses me – is the operating temperature here the MDMT value, the design temperature, or the operating temperature?
If it is based on the design temperature, then do the equipment in the northeast and Xinjiang regions not need to undergo any modifications as long as their design temperature does not fall below that minimum value?
The design temperature takes the ambient temperature into account. If, during the operation of the equipment (including whether heat preservation is in use), the average operating temperature is lower than the design temperature, then the design temperature was chosen improperly.

The temperature at which the container is designed to be used, that is, the design temperature; 2. The temperature used for container operations, that is, the operating temperature ; (The meaning here is essentially to select the design temperature value.) 3. The ambient temperature during the operation of the container. Under normal circumstances, when the average monthly temperature (i.e., the ambient temperature) is below zero, insulation or placement indoors should be considered.
For example, if the design temperature is -20/100°C, then the impact test must take -20°C into consideration, right?
I think it’s better to stick to the design temperature; this value must not be exceeded under any circumstances.
