For pressure vessel welding, can vacuum-packed electrodes be used directly? JB4709 requires drying; can it be used without drying in this case?
I think it should be dried in accordance with JB4709 to prevent welding defects
According to standard 4709, welding electrodes for pressure vessels must be dried as required; vacuum packaging is simply a measure taken by electrode manufacturers to prevent the electrodes from becoming damp, and the electrode instructions also specify the drying process required.
