What is the purpose of adding a gasket ring when joining the upper and lower section supports of a spherical tank? Please provide an answer!
It has two functions: 1. To facilitate connection. Because of the inner ring, it functions as a guide for the cylindrical alignment of the pillars ； 2. Ensure welding quality. Since a thorough cleaning inside is not possible, setting up shims in this way ensures welding quality.
