Since the equipment eliminates the need for fatigue analysis by increasing the design pressure, are the non-destructive testing requirements still applicable as if it were a fatigue-prone device?
There is no such rule; increasing the design pressure can exempt one from fatigue analysis. Even if it is exempted, 100% radiographic inspection should still be carried out.
Non-destructive testing depends on factors such as design pressure, medium properties, and weld joint coefficients; if it is merely to prevent fatigue in the container and other considerations are not relevant, 100% non-destructive testing may not be required.
