What is this component called, and what is its purpose?

I have been in contact with these things, but I’m not sure what their purpose is or on what devices they are installed. I just searched online, but couldn’t find any relevant information. I was looking through an old post from 2008 on HaiChuan, where someone asked what this thing was used for; no one replied to that question, so I thought I’d bring up this old topic again. First, look at the drawings (partial views), then at the overall image of the finished product, and finally at the detailed views of individual parts. What is the purpose of having so many M8 threaded connections around the large holes?
Actually, I don’t know what it’s called either; I keep calling it: the ceiling panel
On the drawing, it says “ceiling panel” for this item. I’m not sure on which specific device it needs to be installed.
I imagine it’s like a grating used for filtration: it’s placed between the flanges of the container, and as for the holes, a wire mesh is placed on top of them, after which a porous cover is added and secured either with screws or bolts. But is the reason for such a thick design the need to support heavier materials?
It is presumed to be used in vertical filtration units, and after removal, it facilitates the replacement or cleaning of the screen.
It seems to be on a heat exchanger, although I’ve never seen one. ;P Each hole is equipped with 3 bolt holes for screwing in screws.
Intuitively, it seems to imply something like a heat exchanger, but it doesn’t quite seem like one either!
The large diameter is 2500, and the small diameter is 1900 as well.
