What standards are followed in the design of atmospheric pressure vessels, and how is the design pressure determined? Is non-destructive testing required for the weld?
Reference can be made to NBT 47003.1-2009 for steel welded atmospheric pressure vessels; if the operating pressure is at atmospheric pressure, I usually set the design pressure to the same value; The inspection requirements can also refer to the previous standards. If the medium height is high and the hazard level is extreme, exceeding the scope of NBT 47003.1-2009, a design pressure of 0.1 MPa shall be adopted, and the design shall be carried out in accordance with GB/T150
Agree with the second floor’s opinion; additionally, consider the minimum thickness required to account for deformation during transportation, as well as factors such as negative pressure and stiffness, and stability.

Design pressure: We usually fill in 0.02 MPa
wanlirn: The design pressure is set at 0.02 MPa – is this based on the design criteria for pressure vessels subjected to external pressures?
Gauge pressure: 0.02 – how can it be external pressure?
Is this value a value intended to facilitate calculations? Why isn’t it 0.03?
This pressure of 0.02 is the upper limit for the standards of atmospheric-pressure vessels; therefore, our company sets the minimum design pressure for such vessels at 0.02; Anyway, anything exceeding that falls under GB150 standards
