For organic heat carrier boilers, an expansion tank usually requires a separate steel structural support to be built on-site, which is then placed on top of that support. Currently, many load-bearing frames are welded on-site temporarily by the installation units, and the existing inspection standards for special equipment do not set any requirements regarding the designed load-bearing capacity or service life of such frames. With the development of organic heat carrier boiler technology, the capacity of these boilers is increasing, and as a result, the volume of the expansion tanks required to go with them is also increasing. Isn’t it unreasonable not to set any requirements in this regard? Are there any forum members with relevant design experience?
This steel structure needs to be designed by a qualified design institute, with specific specifications and construction methods determined based on local seismic loads, wind loads, and the weight of the equipment; it cannot be erected casually. An oil separation tank should also be installed beneath the steel structure, and the structure itself needs to be coated with fire-retardant paint
