Can I understand this as “chloride corrosion being a type of intergranular corrosion”?
I mean the same thing, but I’m not entirely sure yet.
Stainless steel corrosion is mainly intergranular corrosion! The corrosive medium may be different!

Chloride ions can cause intergranular corrosion, pitting corrosion, and stress corrosion in austenitic stainless steels; however, these types of corrosion do not necessarily occur separately but are rather interconnected.
