When welding support rings, reinforcement rings, etc. to the housing, interrupted welding is often used. So, what is an appropriate length between welds and when should welding be stopped? How are these aspects represented using symbols? Are there any considerations related to the upper and lower sides?
According to 6.3.2.5 of GB150, the connection between the reinforcement ring and the cylinder is achieved through continuous or intermittent welding. When the reinforcement ring is located outside the container, the total length of the intermittent welds on each side of the ring should be at least 1/2 of the outer circumference of the cylinder; when it is located inside the container, this length should be at least 1/3 of the inner circumference of the cylinder. When the reinforcement ring is on the outside of the shell, the total length of the intermittent welds on each side shall be no less than half of the outer perimeter of the shell. The maximum gap for intermittent welding is 8 times the shell wall thickness. According to the relevant regulations for steel structures, the weld length is 100, with an interval of around 150 to 200.

Is this latest standard still used in mechanical drawing? So are there also latest standards for mechanical drawing? Do you have them? Could you send them to me?
