I’m not an expert in equipment, but my understanding is that it needs to be removed.
The forum has previously discussed that, for shell-and-tube heat exchangers, the volume of the shell side should deduct the volume of the heat exchange tube bundle.
It must be removed; otherwise, the volume of the pipe section would be calculated repeatedly!
