Dear forum members: I am not very skilled, but I have recently encountered a problem with the sealing of a flange of DN2600 specification. The sealing pressure is 5 MPa, the inner diameter is DN2600, the temperature is 260 degrees Celsius, and the medium is water. I’m not sure whether the bimetallic self-sealing wave-shaped composite gasket mentioned in the attached paper can meet the requirements I would also appreciate the advice from all the experts.
According to the standards for wave-shaped gaskets, it can be used. But with your large flange diameter, high requirements are placed on the quality and performance of the gaskets. It’s best to ask the gasket manufacturer to see if they have experience and confidence in providing sealing solutions.
