Mandatory requirements for containers undergoing leak tests: The mandatory requirements for containers that are subject to leak tests are as follows: 01 After passing the pressure resistance test, pressure vessels that contain media with an extremely high or high level of toxicity, or those for which minor leaks are not permissible according to their design, must undergo a leak test. 02 When a cast pressure vessel is used to contain gaseous media, requirements for a leak test shall be specified in the design drawings. 03 For pressure vessels equipped with overpressure relief devices such as safety valves and burst discs, if a gas-tightness test is required in the design, the designer shall specify the maximum allowable operating pressure for that pressure vessel. 04 The pressure for the airtightness test is the design pressure of the container. 05 During the airtightness test, all safety accessories should be installed. 06 Shell-and-tube heat exchangers whose pipe ends cannot be repaired or maintained after being put into use should undergo a leak test. Mandatory requirements for vacuum vessels: The mandatory requirements for vacuum vessels are as follows: 01 When equipped with safety control devices, the design external pressure shall be min{1.25ΔP, 0.1MPa}; in the absence of such safety control devices, the design external pressure shall be 0.1MPa. 02 Vacuum containers shall not adopt a lined composite structure.
