Let’s test everyone: Should washers be galvanized along with bolts and nuts?
Could you be more specific? Gasket or washer?
If the bolts and nuts need to be galvanized, I think the washers should also be galvanized as well. I’m not entirely sure if this is for corrosion protection purposes; I’m keeping an eye on it
To prevent rust, I don’t think galvanizing will be very effective; when the materials are pressed together, the galvanized layer gets damaged as well, right?
There’s no need to coat it; it’s a bit like adding extra steps that aren’t necessary. When tightening the flat washer nuts, the coating on them gets damaged; it would be better to apply paint for corrosion protection after tightening them.

If the effect is good, the Zn layer at the contact area during the tightening process gets damaged while the rest of the area remains intact; if the effect is poor, pieces of material fall off in large quantities, and overall, the damaged areas are not visible, which improves the appearance. In the presence of vibrations, the galvanized layer at the contact area acts as a lubricant, so it’s better to omit the galvanizing process
Actually, I’ve seen that many of the gaskets purchased are galvanized.

The flat washers and spring washers available on the market are either black or galvanized; black washers paired with zinc bolts also look good. So galvanizing is supported. Pay attention to the answer
