Recently, some organizations have been renewing their pressure vessel design certificates; it is said that those with A1, A2, or A3 qualifications do not need to take a closed-book exam. Question: If an individual already holds A1 and A2 qualifications, how can they obtain A1, A2, and A3 as well? Do they need to start over by obtaining A1, A2, and A3 without any prior qualifications, or is it sufficient to add these additional qualifications?
Adding items is the same as taking the exam again.
The on-site certification exam isn’t as difficult as you think; it may not even be necessary to take it. If you don’t want to take the renewal exam every time, then sign up for courses again to obtain the A1, A2, and A3 certification exams. It doesn’t mean much.

We completed the renewal review before June 1st. According to experts, all such certificates will become invalid by 2021; in the future, the focus of renewal reviews will be on the reviewers, and there will be no exemption from examinations
Document No. 1336 stipulates: a closed-book exam of no less than 3 hours
Just add the additional items; there are no distinctions such as A1, A2, or A3 for the theoretical exam, and it’s A3 for the tasks related to reviewing drawings
