GB/T150 specifies that the hardness of the gasket ring should be 30-40 HBW lower than that of the groove

The poster, you’re not performing surfacing on this sealing surface; generally, TP309L and 3TP347 are used for surfacing, while S30403 material is used for the octagonal gaskets.
Should containers over five meters in length be joined using flanges? What kind of device? Generally, S30403 is sufficient for 14Cr. But with something this large, the sealing issue is serious

You can ask Fulaixi and Aizhi about the problem with the octagonal pads. The furnace is fine; all large forging factories have them. If it’s too long, it needs to be divided into sections
Also, OP, although the pressure here isn’t high, using just an octagonal gasket is likely to result in leaks; it’s better to add a disc spring, but using both an octagonal gasket and a disc spring increases the cost significantly. It’s best to consult the sealing manufacturer
