One of the pressure vessels that arrived had surface impact wear, resulting in a dent. The wall thickness is 8 mm, and the depth of the dent is about 5 mm; it’s almost through. Can our customers weld a steel plate to cover this area?
It cannot be altered casually; it is considered special equipment, and any modifications require supervision and inspection during the repair process. As for whether it is possible to weld the steel plate back together, it is recommended that you consult the manufacturer.

Affixing patch plates is not allowed; only repair welding is permitted. Welding a steel plate certainly can’t be done carelessly. It’s better to have someone from the manufacturing factory handle this. Just because there is a dent doesn’t necessarily mean the strength is compromised, but it’s a bit irresponsible for the manufacturer to release equipment in such condition
File a claim! You don’t need to risk your own life and the lives of others just to save money for others.
If you modify it on your own and safety issues arise, it’s your responsibility!
