Timing of radiographic imaging for composite plate containers.

There are generally two timing options for taking X-rays of composite plate pressure vessels: one is after all welding is completed, at which point an X-ray is taken； Second, take X-rays after welding the base layer; only a PT is performed after the cladding welding is completed. We’ve always followed the first approach. Is there any basis for the second approach?
If the strength of the composite layer is ignored, it is of course possible to use only the RT base layer. Laminating can be understood as being equivalent to surfacing welding
