Hello, I have a storage tank for concentrated sulfuric acid at atmospheric pressure here. Classified as highly toxic according to HG/T 20660-2017, and not suitable for NBT 47003-2009. According to tsg21-2016, HG∕T 20660-2010 should be selected; it indicates poisoning. It also does not meet the requirements for pressure vessels. What criteria should be used for proper design?
The large-capacity specification follows the HG/T20660-2000 standard.
What type of storage tank is it – a small atmospheric pressure container manufactured in the workshop, or a large storage tank built on-site? The former suggests specifying a design pressure within the range of GB150
For a 50m3 storage tank, I asked the design institute, and they said that the 2010 standards are applicable to pressure vessels and not suitable in this case. By that logic, the requirements for atmospheric-pressure vessels are actually higher than those for pressure vessels?
It is more reasonable to manufacture in accordance with GB/T150.
For a concentration of 93%, we use NBT 47003-2009.
The standard for normal pressure specifies that pressure vessels containing extremely or highly hazardous media shall be designed and manufactured in accordance with GB/T150-2011 for acceptance purposes
The classification of medium toxicity seems to have little to do with the classification of containers; medium toxicity is classified in accordance with HG/T20660-2017
Atmospheric pressure vessels don’t require TSG21-2016 in the first place; the appendix to the regulations on such vessels states that GB150 should be applied for media with extremely high hazard levels
