What can be done if the fire sprinklers on spherical tanks are easily clogged by rust and debris in the water supply pipes? Currently, ordinary basket filters are installed in front of the spherical tanks on the spray pipeline; they are not capable of blocking even small pieces of rust debris. As a result, it is necessary to disassemble and clean the spray nozzles of several large spherical tanks 1–2 times per year, which requires a lot of time and effort. Moreover, working at heights of over ten meters during these cleaning tasks poses a high risk. If it can be solved by replacing the filter, is that an option? Is there any filter that can effectively remove rust and debris from the water used in fire sprinklers? The spray water pipeline is DN125, PN1.6MPa. Please suggest a suitable solution. Thank you!
To save on investment, permanent magnets can be installed inside the existing basket filter, or a magnetic filter (which can only remove ferromagnetic impurities) can be placed after the basket filter; The selection of the spray water filter depends on the shape of the nozzle; filters with different levels of precision are chosen accordingly. If the filtering selection is appropriate, rust and similar substances should not clog the nozzle
Previously, when using evaporation cooling, a type of nozzle with a large opening was employed; it was less prone to rusting and clogging.
