When entering data in SW6, the standard flange is selected. However, it always automatically becomes a reverse flange during calculation, and the calculation always fails. There is a problem with the shear plane height.

I don’t know if the pressure difference between the tube and shell side is too large, which makes the fixed tube plate structure unreasonable.

The conditions of this equipment are indeed very strange. The heat exchange area is 10 square meters, the diameter is 450, and the heat exchange tubes are 19* 2.5 * 3500, the wiring is too sparse ; But to calculate the pipe box flange, you don’t need to calculate the tube plate first.
I am using version 4.0 and still have the same problem as you. It should be a BUG.
Please stop replying. The problem is solved. Just open a new file in SW6, enter the data again, and discard the original file. My problem may be that the file has been opened with 3.1 and 4.0, and then the two versions are incompatible.
