Equipment for heating steam pipes in rotary film deaerators

While studying *rotary film deaerators, I noticed that some of them have heating tubes at the bottom of the rotary film tubes, while others do not. I’m not sure whether it’s better to have them or not. Is there anyone experienced who can give some guidance? Thank you.

Thank you for the guidance. Another issue is what range is appropriate for controlling the flow rate at the outlet of the secondary steam.
Secondary steam is used when the inlet water temperature is low, in order to prevent too much steam from entering the lower layers of the packing and causing gas slugging or insufficient gas-water contact in that area. This steam is then heated in the upper layers of the packing, allowing the steam generated from the previous heating process to enter from above. Its size is much smaller than that of the primary steam inlet; the size depends mainly on the temperature of the incoming water – the lower the inlet water temperature, the larger the size required.
Start-up line steam is used during the initial start-up or each time the system is restarted after a shutdown.
