Burying and fixing of foundation bolts The burying of foundation bolts is halted simultaneously with the construction of the foundation rebar, stopping in parallel. Use the template lines to mark the corresponding longitudinal and transverse axes; simultaneously, use a steel ruler to mark the positions of each set of anchor bolts on the foundation rebar. First, lay the anchor bolt sleeves flat at the marked positions on the rebar foundation, and use a plumb line to adjust the longitudinal and transverse axes so that they align with the longitudinal and transverse axis marks indicated on the sleeves. And make markings on the rebar along the perimeter of the template. Pass the shank of the anchor bolt through the sleeve plate from bottom to top, tighten it, adjust the tightness of the nut, and set the elevation of the top of the anchor bolt so that it meets the requirements specified in the drawings (the elevation of the bolt’s top can be measured using a level). Note: During construction, a level can be used to check that the template and screws are in such a position that the surface of the template is horizontal and the screws are vertical. To meet the requirements for fixed foot bolts, 8-millimeter steel bars are used to weld the shanks of these bolts; welding is employed as much as possible at the lower part of the shanks to connect them with the foundation rebar, thereby ensuring the accuracy of the bolt positions. After welding is completed, loosen and adjust the nuts on the formwork so that the bottom of the formwork is about 30 cm away from the rebar in the foundation surface; concrete cushion blocks should also be placed between the bottom of the formwork and the rebar in the foundation surface. Use a level to adjust the template to ensure it is as level as possible, and finally tighten the nut on the upper part of the screw.
