Height difference between the tank top ladder platform and the walkway along the tank top edge

Anyway, this is a safety hazard, right? The owners are also complaining – can’t it be made flush? Raise the walkway to increase costs and the weight of the tank top, or lower the platform? What are the risks? Are there any standard regulations?
It should be made at the same elevation; will that waste material? It can be calculated.
On our side, the ladder platform is located about 0.7 meters inward from the tank wall railing; the width of the walkway is 0.45 meters. If the heights are to be the same, then the widths should also be the same. So, should we increase the width of the walkway or reduce the width of the ladder platform?

Yours is the same as mine; it’s impossible to achieve the same height for the DD cross-section. As long as the BB cross-sections are not of the same size, there will definitely be a difference in height. The side closest to the center is welded to the top of the tank – do we really need to use angle steel to support it?
