I have a question: when steam pipes are laid directly in the ground using a steel-clad steel external sliding design, with the fixing brackets being of the internal type, why is it sufficient to fix the inner pipe to the outer tube? Isn’t it necessary to fix the outer tube to the soil as well? If it isn’t fixed, could the outer tube be pushed aside when the inner pipe is under heat?
The outer tube is not fixed to the inner tube; when constructed in accordance with the design requirements, it will not be pushed around.
The inner pipe of the steel-in-steel pipeline is insulated; the outer pipe is not exposed to heat, so there is no thermal thrust, and it can be buried directly.
