It should be possible to exceed the scope of conventional design, and the stress analysis method should be used for reinforcement calculations. In actual design, it is always uneconomical to only consider the conventional design opening range and then increase the cylinder diameter. You can use the analytical method, but you can't use the pressure area method.
Use the analytical method. If it fails, use local stress analysis. Do not use the pressure area method to calculate, because the large opening bending moment plays a big role, and the pressure area method has problems.
